On the coming Saturday, before the feast day of the Holy Great Martyr Demetrius of Thessalonica, the Russian Orthodox Church makes a special memorial service for all Orthodox soldiers who have died from the ages. This year, Demetrius\u2019 Saturday of Ancestors is on the 5th of November.<\/span><\/p>\n

In the Church of the Dormition of the Most Holy Mother of God in Beijing, the Divine Liturgy was performed in the morning, led by the rector of the Church, Hieromonk Innokenty (Kolesnikov). At the end of the liturgy, a memorial service (Panikhida) was performed for all Orthodox soldiers who have died from the ages and for all Orthodox Christians.<\/span><\/p>\n
